Morning walk shots.2

I have decided that if I'm going to do this I'd better do it properly, today is a restart.

An Edward VII post box, probably among the oldest in the UK. It no longer has the original collection time panel as it was vandalised a couple of years ago.

The Plas Pigot country club, it has been here for many years, when it was first built it would have been in the countryside and not in the town.

The Denbigh infirmary, has been here for over 200 years. Always providing a useful service to the community.

Denbigh high school, located on the Ruthin road.

The leasure centre. The yellow topped building is the new gym. Among the facilities is a swimming pool and a punishment centre with plenty of exercise equipment. LOL

Morning walk shots.

Having purchased a new camera, I've put together some test shots from my morning walk.

Below the old town walls of Denbigh is the location of Howells school, some of the buildings can be seen from across the fields.

Behind the sports field are some old farm buildings.

The southern end of the leisure centre. The old gymnasium has been replaced by a more modern building, the yellow topped one on the right. It is now nearing completion.

Archive shot.....waterfall.

Another hidden small falls.

Walk to Moelwyn Mawr.21

Final shots from Moelyn Mawr today. In it's day, that old Fuji Fine Pix S7000 took quite a decent picture.

Looking down on the workshops and the small lake that powered the tools.

A waterwheel was one housed here.

Time to climb back down to the Cwmorthin valley below.

The weather has exposed part of the old tramway rail and sleeper in the Cwmorthin valley.

Archive shot...waterfalls.

Another set of small falls.

Walk to Moelwyn Mawr.20

Mountain lake.

Many tons of waste, there must be a big hole in the ground somewhere.

Looking rather unsafe now, however, probably been here for 100 years!

Archive shot...waterfall.

Another from my collection of hidden waterfalls. It's amazing how many there are off the beaten track. HDR edit.

Walk to Moelwyn Mawr.19

Yet another ruin with loads of waste slate in the background.

Close up.

A look back at the warning notice missed on the way up!

Archive shot...waterfall.

These falls are hidden away at Cwm Penmachno. The orange colour in the water is from peat in the soil. HDR edit.

Walk to Moelwyn Mawr.18

A stile to get us over the barbed wire fence.

A lot of quartz around here, probably means some Welsh gold too!

Following the fence. The ground can be very unsound in places so to be on the safe side I often follow the fence, that's if there is one.
